Montgomeryshire Field Society

Listing:

Montgomeryshire Field Society, founded in 1946 and still going strong, has been observing, preserving and recording all aspects of natural history in the county for over seventy years. We aim to encourage appreciation of the natural beauty of our county and offer members the opportunity to study and record plants, mammals and insects informally amongst like-minded folk.  We arrange monthly field trips April to October to explore areas of particular interest:  SSSIs, Nature Reserves and private properties usually from noon to 4pm with tea afterwards. In the winter months we engage speakers on relevant subjects from birds to beetles, dragonflies to deer, oaks to orchids.

If you love being out in the countryside and would like to learn more about Montgomeryshire's wildlife please contact our Treasurer Liz Wilson  for a membership pack: maltliz@aol.com or visit our website:  https://www.montgomeryshirefieldsociety.org/
